Elementary School Admissions
The elementary school admission process includes formal application from parents and students, review of previous school records, and a personal interview between the family and the elementary school principal.
While admission to Southfield Christian School is preferred at semester breaks (August and January), applications are accepted year-round. The elementary school has a capacity of 270 students; two sections of each grade. Class sizes start at 20 for kindergarten, increase by one student each grade, with 25 students in fifth grade sections.

Admission Process
- Attend one our Discover Us Open Houses (scheduled each fall, winter, and spring) to see the school and meet our teachers and administrators.
- Call and arrange for an appointment with Jason Erb, our Elementary School Principal to learn more about SCS and the education SCS can provide for your student.
- Pick-up (or download from this site) an application. A copy of your child's birth certificate, most recent report card and standardized testing is required to be submitted with the application.
- Mail (or drop off) the completed application to the Admissions Office.
- When the application materials are received, your application, your child's report card, and a copy your child's most recent standardized testing will be reviewed. If the supporting documents meet our academic admission standards, you will be notified of the date when the entrance test will be administered. You will receive a letter notifying you of the testing date. A testing fee is due at the time of the exam.
- Within two weeks of the entrance exam, you will be contacted regarding the results of the test. If the results indicate that your child has the academic achievement for consideration for admission, an appointment for an interview will be arranged. If academic/admission standards are not met, the principal will contact you by letter.
- Accepted students will be required to pay a non-refundable $250 registration fee and a tuition payment (depending on time of admission).
- Kindergarten students will be required to arrange for a physical examination. The form for the physical will be provided at the time of the child's admission.
