Our primary objective is to develop quality young people with Christ-like character. We want to surround our athletes with Godly coaches who focus on spiritual development as well as physical and skill development. We want to use the skills taught so that we might be victorious in competition within the realm of honesty, fairness and our Christian values.
We realize that, as an educational institution, it is vitally important for our student athletes to perform in the classroom as well as in the athletic arena. We believe that athletics can play an important role in complementing the classroom education that our students receive.
As an Athletic Department, it is our goal to help Southfield Christian student athletes realize that they represent their team, coach, school, family and most importantly, Jesus Christ. We have adopted this philosophy partially from Philemon 1:6 which reads, “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.” Our actions, both on and off the field, should promote a Christ-like spirit, good sportsmanship, a respect for others, a wholesome attitude and loyalty to Christ, family, team and school.
