This week in chapel we shared the well-known story of the Magi coming 500 miles to worship the King who was born in Bethelem. It says in Matthew 2:11 that the Magi "bowed down and worshipped Him" and they "opened their treasures and presented him with gifts."

Parking Lot Repairs

Thank you to all our SCS families who have been adjusting to the changes in our parking lot. The two main parking lots used by the elementary school, the north and west lots, are now open and available for use. Currently, we are NOT doing a "drop off" zone, however that may change once we see the normal traffic flows on our side of the building. We are blocking off the lane that runs right next to the chapel; this is simply for safety and creating a safe zone for our young children.
I realize everyone has had to be flexible and I appreciate the Christian love and understanding expressed by everyone involved. May God continue to bless us as we follow His commands, even in the little things. God Bless!

Mr. Erb's Blog - Welcome Back !!!

Our students and teachers experienced a great first day of school on Tuesday, August 28th! It was truly a blessing to see all of our students, teachers, and parents so excited about the start of a new year.

In my daily walk-through of the classrooms I saw students connecting with each other, listening to their teachers, and generally eager to start a new year. It was a blessing to see the enthusiasm of our various families as they escorted their children to and from their classes. There seems to be a deeper, more connected community feel to our parent body this year. Praise God for what He's doing within our SCS family.

Thank you so much for your partnership with us this year! Together, with the Lord's blessing and leading, we can create a strong Christian, educational community that is successful in its pursuit of excellence in the academic, spiritual, social, aesthetic, and athletic realm. To accomplish this, we need lots of prayer, faithful, consistent application of God's word in our life, and a positive, supportive, and loving community. Please place the children, teachers, and parents in your prayers throughout the year, and let's each do our part in contributing to a god-honoring community.
