The SCS science olympiad team is designed to help students learn hands-on application to science theory. It is organized and run by the science department: Mrs. Guthrie (Chemistry), Mrs. Whiteford (Physics), Mr. Sowash (Biology) and Mr. Globke (Robotics). Any student in grades 9-12 is welcome to participate.
Region 8 is hosting a Construction Workshop for all construction events (Balloon Launch Glider, Robo-Cross, Scrambler, Tower Building, Trajectory, Boomilever, Electric Vehicle, Robot Ramble, Sounds of Music and Wright Stuff) on January 12, 2008. Mark Van Hecke, national event supervisor for Remote Sensing, will be running a workshop on the Remote Sensing Event on Tuesday, November 27th, at Troy High School beginning at 5:00 pm. This workshop will probably run about 1 1/2 hrs. Students, coaches, and parents are welcome to attend.
