SCS Audio Eagle Elementary is the podcast of Southfield Christian Elementary School in Southfield, Michigan. Our broadcasts will highlight some of the exciting things that are going on in our elementary School. You can listen to our mp3 audio broadcasts online, or subscribe using iTunes which will allow you to download them onto your iPod. Get ready for a tour of Chicago! Our podcasting team will be your guides for this visit to the Windy City. Though pictures and sounds they will tell you about some of the exciting things you can see and do in Chicago! The fifth graders at Southfield Christian School have been doing research about the presidents of the United States. They used the information that they learned to write a campaign speech for their president. They also made a portrait of the president. Each podcast will let you travel back in time to learn about the issues and accomplishments of several presidents. Three episodes have been posted at the link above. The Life of Isaac Reader's Theater Fifth grader Meghan wrote this play about Isaac. A group of fifth graders recorded the play and our podcasting team edited the sound and added sound effects. In this special enhanced podcast, our podcast team pays tribute to their grandparents. Test Tube TV - Chemical Changes The fifth grade classes experimented with various dry and liquid substances. They observed what chemical changes happen when the two substances are combined. Listen to this episode to find out what they learned.
Best Buy Teach Grant - Our elementary school was notified in February that it had been selected to receive a $2000 grant from Best Buy! The money will be used to buy equipment which students can use to create enhanced podcasts. Test Tube TV - Check out this lesson at the Apple Learning Interchange which features our Test Tube TV enhanced podcasting project! Mrs. Veldman's second grade class wrote about how God made them special, based on Psalm 139. In this podcast some of the students share their paragraphs. AUDIO EAGLE PODCAST NEWS On March 15, four of our podcasters joined Miss Bosch at the MACUL conference at Cobo Hall. They shared our podcast with other educators and demonstrated the equipment they use to create our podcast.
