My Old School

I remember having several teachers at my old school that I will give you a writing tour by showing them to you.  As  you walked into the school there was the library to the left, and the gym to the right. The office was right next  to Mrs. Zahner’s Classroom. Mr. Murray was the computer specialist. Mrs. Birnie was the librarian. They were so nice. If you helped out you received candy or a sports card. In the gym, there was Mrs. Guzdial. She helped you when you played sports like floor hockey, football,  and other games.  In Mrs. Zahner’s Classroom, there was a first grade class.   In the office, there was  Mrs. MacCallum, Mrs. Mullane and Mr. Cope ( he retired).  Now if  I was still there, Mrs. Martella would be my principal.
Next to the  office is a clinic and a Kinder Plus classroom. In the clinic is where kids go if they get hurt in some way. In Mrs. Manzari’s room she teaches Kinder Plus.  Kinder Plus is like kindergarten only except you play and do crafts.
Down by Mrs. Manzari’s room there is a music room, Mrs. Cudnohofsky teaches music and Mr. Horner teaches band in the same room.  I used to play flute, but it was too hard with my braces.  I moved on to bells, but I didn’t like to practice.
Down a long hallway is where the classrooms are.  The first  classrooms  on the left is kindergarten, and on the right is  3rd grade.  Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Boeve are the kindergarten teachers.
Mr. Knoper teaches 3rd grade too.  In 3rd grade you hatch quills.  Also in Mrs. O’Rourke class there is a treasure chest filled with treats, toys, and goodies.  I had Mrs. Ellis for 3rd grade but when she got married she moved to Lansing.  Mrs. Knoper took her place.
Down the hallway is Mrs. Pardington’s classroom.  She was my fourth grade teacher.  She has five kids, Sarah, Catherine, Mary Kate, Veronica, and one more.  Sarah was my favorite.  She always  saw me wherever I went. Ms. Fisher was a 4th grade teacher.  In 5th grade I had Mrs. Pascaretti. She is very nice.  Mr. Levitt was my math and social studies teacher.  He had  triplets. Two girls and one boy and Rebecca are the two girls' names and Truman is the boy's name.  I gave you my tour now, what do you think?  I love Beverly Elementary School.  If you go there you will have fun.

My Favorite Subjects

My favorite  subjects are Language Arts, Spelling, and Lunch/ Recess.  I enjoy Language Arts because I love to write.  When I write, I write about friends, family, or what I enjoy. I love to spell and that is why I love spelling.  Once I was in a spelling bee and I spelled the word "every" wrong.  I spelled it "evrey" because I didn't write it down on my dry-erase board as I did on all the other words. I consider myself a good speller unless I don't  write something down.  Sometimes I rush and forget and spell the word wrong.
I also enjoy Lunch/ Recess because I have the opportunity to spend time with all my friends.  At recess I play four-square or I go to the bleachers.  Kayla and I talk all the time on the bleachers. We talk about school and our favorite subjects.  Sometimes I wonder what school would be like without Language Arts, Spelling, and Lunch/ Recess.

New School
Will I finish the school year?
     Will I make any  friends?
What will Southfield Christian be like?
     Are they nice?
       Are they mean?
    How will they act?
         Will kids tease me?
      Will I get hurt?
What will they say to me?
           Will I like it?
    Are the teachers nice?
        Do you acquire homework?
          A little?
           A lot?
What will happen if I don’t  have any friends?
        But it doesn’t matter
            now, because I'm
                already here.
