Welcome to third grade. This is a big year in your life as you transistion from lower elementary to the upper elementary. The third grade teachers assist you in this process in a variety of ways. Four days a week you will switch classes for social studies and science. You will also have a locker to keep all of your belonging safe and sound.

In science this year we will study animals, their habitats, physical science subjects and earth science topics as well. We will also take a science related field trip as well as have a visit by some very unusual animals.

In social studies we study the wonderful state of Michigan in addition to map skills. We end our study in the spring with a marvelous "Michigan Moments" wax museum.

We continue building on math skills you have learned as well as memorizing our multiplication facts with a fun ice cream theme. We will also put on our "Authors" hats as we write and record our own personal narratives on a regular basis.

It is a privilege to study God's word every day and this year we will study the lives of four great old testament men. We will learn from God's word how they lived out their faith and apply that to our lives. Scripture memory is also a part of our weekly curriculum.
