This year's classwork will involve much reading and writing as we explore and discover the various genres of literature and writing. During the course of the semester we will examine short stories, poetry, grammar and writing. I expect that you will try to enlarge your knowledge of the various units through an awareness that may come from reading the newspaper or news sites on the internet, listening to the news or even visiting the library.
