In recent years, 95 to 100 percent of graduating seniors gained college admission, with four-year scholarships totaling more than $1 million per class of 70 students. Numerous students have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. SCS students perform well on standardized tests too. For example, 93 percent of all seventh through ninth graders scored at grade level or above when compared to the national sample of students participating in a national testing program. In one representative graduating class, 80 percent of our students participating in the Advanced Placement Examinations were eligible to earn college credit for their efforts. Two-thirds of the graduating class qualified for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship; and while the national average on the ACT was 21, SCS students averaged 25. Read more about High School at SCS
