Bible 6 - Mrs. Christie

6th Grade Bible teaches that the principles of God affect and apply to students' lives. Bible characters from the Old and New Testaments and the life of Christ are used to teach these principles. An overview of Revelation is also taught. An NIV Bible to leave at school is required.

Homework
Homework counts as 35% of the Bible grade.
Workbook pages are completed in class.
Two Bible verses are memorized each week. Every Friday, a neatly written or typed copy of the verses is due. (For example: September 5th, Psalm 139:1-2 are due.) The test over these verses is on Tuesday, September 9th.

Quizzes and Tests
Quizzes and tests count as 65% of the Bible grade.
Each lesson is the workbook will conclude with an "open book" quiz.
The tests over the Bible verses are fill-in-the-blank with no word blank, and points are deducted for misspellings.
There will be a final test over the complete passage. This is a fill-in-the-blank test with a word bank included.
Retakes will be arranged when a student requests a Retake Form from the teacher to be signed by Mr. Droste and a parent.

Devotions
Class begins daily with devotions and prayer. Discussion of the meaning of the verses the students are memorizing, follow-up to Chapel, and situations that come up during the school year are also part of Bible class. Students should have a spiral notebook for notes and journaling.
