SCS Boys Track & Field MIAC Champs!!!
The SCS Boys varsity track & field team won the 2008 MIAC conference title last Tuesday night.
The Eagles won the conference with 147 points. Parkway Christian was second (137 pts.) and Oakland Christian took third. The boys were led by Victor Allen, who won the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter runs. He set a new MIAC Conference Meet record with a time of 4:40.6 in the 1600 meter run.
Luke Slater took first place in the 400 meter run, and the Eagles' relay team of Kevin Beal, Andrew Bigos, Nick Armes, and Luke Thorne won the 3200 meter relay. Aaron Myles took 2nd in the 200 and third in the 100 meter dash. Kevin Beal, Brian Panas, Zach Thorne, and Luke Slater won the 800 meter relay and Geoff VanGorder took third in the high jump.
