Campus Life

COVID Information

Southfield Christian School is working with the Oakland County Health Department (OCHD) regarding all COVID cases at our school.  As we have since the beginning of the COVID, we will follow the state/county mandates.

As of February 28, 2022, in alignment with the OCHD lifting of the mask mandate, masks will not be mandatory in the SCS building.

School is being held in seat five days a week. As always, if a student has to be out for an extended period of time that is health related, we will work with the family to provide instruction and school work.

We recognize and understand that families and individuals have varying views on COVID-19 and the mitigation steps taken in our schools and communities. We are committed to supporting warm and welcoming environments within our school communities. No individual should be subject to discrimination around their mask or vaccination preference. We hope we can all work to support one another and remain healthy throughout 2021-22 and beyond.

Contact Tracing

Once the school has been notified of a COVID case, we will begin contact tracing based on the OCHD School Quarantine Guidance.

The COVID positive individual will be asked to identify any potential close contacts they had since the 48 hours prior to the onset of symptoms. Teachers, lunch/recess aides, after school care staff, coaches, etc. will be contacted to verify the information as well as to identify any additional contacts the individual may have forgotten.

If you need to report a case or have questions, please contact the SCS COVID Liaison, Lori Palmer, at
