Congratulations to SCS Lifer (K through 12th grade) Kaelin Ray on her acceptance to Harvard University! Kaelin realized she wanted to go to college to become a doctor when she was eight years old. However, it was after working in a Jamaican orphanage serving deaf and hearing-impaired children on a mission trip in Jamaica that she realized that she did not just want to become a doctor. She knew then that she wanted to be a doctor who makes a difference in the lives of the less fortunate; a doctor who gives hope and a future to people who have none. Her love for God and others is evident in all she does. We are proud of Kaelin’s strong character and hard work resulting in this well-deserved honor!
