Southfield Christian School welcomes international students entering 9th through 12th grades. Students must be proficient in the English language. Families must provide their own host family/housing.

  1. Christian Faith - Students must come from a family that celebrates Biblical values.  One parent and one host parent must be “born again” (that is, a follower of Jesus Christ who knows Him as their personal Savior) and adhere to the school's Lifestyle Statement.  The family and host family's active participation in a local church is important. Additionally, high school students must also be “born again” and able to share their testimony.
  2. Academic Achievement - Students must have a “B” average on their report card in the core subjects and score at grade level (above the 50th percentile) on nationally administered achievement tests.
  3. Personal Character - Finally, the student’s character, citizenship, and desire to attend Southfield Christian School impact admission.
Southfield Christian School's Doctrinal Statement, Vision, Mission and Philosophy can be found on the What We Believe page on this site.  Additional information such as our Lifestyle Statement and Parental Code of Conduct can be found on the right side of this page in the links list.

Additional Information

Our school year begins in mid-August and ends in early June.  One-week breaks are given in the winter and in the spring, and a two-week Christmas break is observed in December.  Other traditional holidays are observed.
The spiritual focus is the foundation of education at Southfield Christian School.  This focus is reinforced through daily Bible classes, weekly chapels, annual Spiritual Life Week, and the commitment of teachers and staff to demonstrate by word and example what it means to experience a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
