1. Drop-in Help from Teachers
Provided before and after school, during lunch, or during a teacher’s free period if students are in Study Hall
2. ACT Prep Course
Students attend three sessions on English, Math, and Science skills review related to skills covered on standardized tests such as the ACT or SAT
3. Other Common Teaching Steps:
We seek to provide all students a calendar of topics to be covered and the assignments scheduled (weekly, by chapters, by units, etc).
We seek to provide written directions for reports, projects, papers, and presentations.
We also provide a timetable for tasks to be completed and a grading rubric that includes an English mechanics percentage.
